Quick update

These past few days have passed by very quickly. When I return home from class, I spend my free time doing my homework and after that I just sleep. I have two days where I have an 8AM class... (╯▔皿▔)╯ It's not waking up early that bothers me, I think I'm an early bird actually. It's the crowded bus that takes forever to arrive that annoys me! I keep getting sick because of this, because it's very windy in the early hours in the area I wait for it. I usually have to wait at least 30 minutes standing up (there's no bus stop bench because there's a construction going on) and it arrives with basically no place to even breathe. Even thinking about it right now got on my nerves ;; So I try to get up at 4AM to catch the 6AM bus, but then I have to wait for two hours at the school... yeah... (* ￣︿￣)

Anyway, I wanted to write here a bit to cool off my anger about this issue. Other than that, I'm pretty okay with school now I think. (Maybe dealing with teenagers is a bit annoying sometimes, but it's temporary...!) And I absolutely love writing papers tbh! At least so far...?? I don't know, I really like researching haha! The only problem is I can't find enough time usually, so I try to do it in the school's library.

I played only TS4 this week. (KCD is kind of a bother to me lately because it keeps making me motion sick. 😭 I miss Henry boy!) I made my OC Nikša and his wife Jelena and they both turned super cute, so I've been dealing with them for a while now.

Aside from that, I have good news: I was able to nearly finish the outline for the Chris/Leon WW1!AU fic I've mentioned here before. I still have one block in the road that I need to cross, and I'd love to get any helping hand to talk about it.

Question too: Does anyone know any good photo storaging website to use here? I don't want to keep uploading them to imgbox...

Also relatable, we will get our schedule changed soon and I have a premonition that it'll be changed to 8am classes (due to the time change?? idk). And it take 30 mins to get there if there's no traffic and at that time there WILL be traffic. So that's at least an hour of being trapped inside a tin can, trying to keep yourself awake and then get through the flesh walls to exit the bus. Fun!

AHH it's the exact same; I went for this school because it's about 15 minutes far to my house IDEALLY. But the traffic in the city makes it only but a dream.
Last Friday, I finished my class at 3pm, but I was home at 5! 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️
I hope it doesn't end up being 8 for you ;-;

I looked around the site a bit, and I want to ask: Are the images manageable? As in, can we delete it, see all of the images uploaded by me in one place etc.?

Yes they are! You can set them as private, control who sees the links, have them in folders that you can control the visibility of and delete them!!! :D its neat and the owner is a great guy too, so thats a plus

oof that bus ride sounds rough. i guess one positives of the extra two hours could be using that time to work on homework? i used to try to squeeze in homework whenever i had downtime due to having to wait for anything hahah. i am glad that otherwise things sound like they're going smoothly at school!

as for your fic, i'm happy to listen if you'd like to bounce ideas off me; i'm not as familiar with the earlier games, but i should know enough about the characters/fandom to not be lost c:

also regarding image hosting: i saw that someone mentioned squidge, but i also use imgur and haven't had any issues with it.

Yes, that's also exactly how I use the time! Today I wrote down my notes to the Word doc I'm keeping in the meantime.

Thanks for the recommendation, how is it with privacy? Since it's more used than Squidge, I wonder.

About the fic... It may take some time to read through this part so feel free to reply anytime you want.
The storyline goes like this basically: They stumble upon each other -> They team up for a while -> Danger happens and they run -> One of them gets hurt -> They get closer -> One of them learns a bitter truth about the other and they part emotionally, physically they still have to team up. And that's the part that I've gotten stuck. The two decide on working together to find Wesker basically, but I have no idea how to get them to him, nor do I know where to put the damn man to! 😆

If you want more details, let me know.

i'm not really sure about privacy; squidge might be better for that in all honesty.

hmm...i guess a lot would depend on where you have them, like are they out in the trenches, etc. probably i will need some more info lmao, but in general it could be something like them just hearing news about Wesker's location from another source (idk what Wesker is up to in your fic, so it may have to be an extremely vague bit of news). assuming they're all soldiers, i can easily see Wesker as being a much higher rank than both of them, which means he may not be on the battlefield at all...but maybe they run into someone who was his driver for a time? this is making me wish i knew more about WWI to be honest lol.

you know i've just remembered Chris was supposed to be in the Air Force originally...and now i'm thinking about him dogfighting Wesker in like an old biplane hahah (Leon can man the gun :p)

but i guess the main thing i can think of is like where is the endpoint for the confrontation with Wesker? like based on how you see that playing out, where would they need to get to? sometimes it's easier to work backwards :)

Yeah haha, I thought I was being too vague when I was writing the summary too, but it would be too long to tell it here and I didn't want to disturb you by infodumping about the fic unprompted. ^^;;

I can say that Chris is looking for Wesker from the start, but it's news to Leon. Chris is a US soldier, Leon is a French one. I placed Wesker as a German, working on some kind of virus and that's why Chris is on the lookout for him actually. (There's a small info that I'm holding back that you may guess between the lines :P)

It's okay if you can't help, don't feel bad! It feels great to even talk about it haha!

oh, no worries! i was also a little worried about going overboard with suggestions lol.

hmm...so if the issue is movement (getting from point A to Point B [finding Wesker]) then the biggest issue i can see (which you may have already dealt with) is how much freedom Leon and Chris have to move around as soldiers (like are they reporting to commanding officers; will them running off be seen as them going AWOL/deserting; etc.) but if Wesker is still working on perfecting the virus then the first thing i thought of with regards to them tracking him down is signs that he'd been testing it: empty villages; dead livestock; stuff like that. i'd assume that he's in some bunker somewhere experimenting, so probably it would be easiest to have them spotting signs that he's nearby, or hearing about such signs from another soldier or something, and then tracking him down from there.

there's probably a lot more fic details that i don't know about hahah, but i think something like that is how i would go about it: like a trail of breadcrumbs kind of thing.
