Playing games speedrun
Wednesday, 14 June 2023 08:00 pmNormally whenever I finish a video game, I take about a week in between before starting another. I guess the reason is because it takes me some time to get out of that mindset, and I tend to not draw when I start a new game, because then I want to keep playing that game. But these days, I finished games consecutively. I did took a break after The Witcher 2 since it was a longer game than the next three Resident Evil games I've played. I'm almost done with Code:Veronica. I think it's the one that took me the longest to finish after the first one I've played some time ago. I even did two scenarios for RE2 like a madman, I normally never do that but it felt super short the first scenario I've done (Leon A). Well, I'm playing Sweet Pool's other routes right now. It feels very nostalgic to me... 😔
Anyway, some quick thoughts so far: I think I liked the atmosphere of the first game the most, because that mansion was truly bizarre and it was reminiscent of old horror movies idk. I also liked the puzzles but the inventory stuff and the backtracking was insane, also it was super hard.
In 2 and 3:Nemesis they've got Easy Mode and of course I chose that one. But rn as I'm playing C:V there isn't any Easy Mode but it's fine. I just felt sad that some of the cool additions to evasive moves were taken out, and the buttons are completely weirded out. But it's fine. The voice acting is terrible though.
Gameplay wise, Nemesis is my fav still. Story-wise, I guess 1 and C:V are good.
